Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps Changing Digital Economy July 18, 2017

Gone are the days of long term planning in software development and delivering value to core businesses. Data science based analytics facilitates to generate the real time data, funnel the bottlenecks observed in the development processes. With evolution of agile based development processes rapid feedback of the development strategy is decided fast as fail fast and fail safe. Site Reliability Engineering practices adopts the incremental feedback approach to quickly improve the software delivery pipeline through established continuous integration,  continuous delivery and continuous deployment pipeline.

It helps to streamline the pyramid to keep the People over Processes and processes over Tools. Agile and Lean start up development methodology highlights the gaps where an organization is inefficient to deliver the quality software to its clients and customers, it helps to quickly redesign the strategies focused towards quality software delivery pipeline.

A thought leadership change is evolving through this period which helps companies to relatively invest in hiring best minds who can understand the business needs and align the engineering priorities, identify gaps in the development, operations and security processes by thriving on data based incremental implementation approaches.

Start up Companies like Rapyuta & Teralytics are leveraging the DevSecOps practices to build the Highly available cloud Platform product to support data science based engineering.

Cost effective wireless Sensors for Structural Health Monitoring

Monitoring the performance of civil structures calls for an immediate attention. Current commercial monitoring systems suffer from various technological and economic limitations that prevent their widespread adoption. The extensive wiring used to route measurements from system sensors to the centralized data server represent one of the greatest limitations.

The low cost wireless communications appears to be the best alternative, resulting in the design of a prototype wireless sensing unit. A more intelligent incorporation in the wireless sensing unit would be the use of microcontrollers for computational power.

Approach:

The architectural design of the wireless sensing unit, as shown in Figure, is divided into three major subsystems: sensor interface, computational core, and wireless communications.

ABOUT ME :

i’m lonely, and i pretend to like being by myself
i’m insane, and they can’t tell the difference
i’m paranoid, but i am not afraid
i’m angry, and i cry tears of fire
i’m sad, and my heart cries in company
i’m different, but i am one with you
i am no-one, yet i am the eye of my storm
i am near, but when you want me i’m always gone
i am asleep, but my guilt lies awake and brooding
i am me, and i am tired of being tied
i am happiness, and i am free of you
