Akela Hu Ek Khwab Hu……. September 2, 2008

Akela Hu

Akela Hu Ek Khwab Hu....

आंखो से देखोगे,तो खुश मुझे पाओगे
दिल से पूछोगे,तो दर्द का सैलाब हूं

World’s Smallest Webserver -MatchBox Size server August 30, 2008

The Matchbox Webserver is based on a tiny single-board computer with a 66 MHz AMD 486DX CPU, 16 MB RAM, and 16 MB flash ROM — big enough to hold a useful amount of RedHat 5.2 Linux including the HTTP daemon that runs the project’s web server. At relatively low usage levels it consumes 800 milliwatts from a 5V power supply, rising to 2 watts at 100% CPU usage. It communicates with the outside world via two serial ports, a printer port, and a connector for a floppy drive. It measures 2.8″ x 1.8″ for an area of 5 square inches. Being 0.2″ thick this makes the volume one cubic inch (16 cc’s). It weighs 3/4 oz (20 grams).

Eye Opening Facts About Living Conditions !!

If The World were a Village of  100 People.

If we could reduce the world’s population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all existing human ratios remaining the same,, with all existing human ratios remaining the same, the demographics would look something like this:

The village would have 60 Asians, 14 Africans, 12 Europeans, 8 Latin Americans, 5 from the USA and Canada, and 1 from the South Pacific

51 would be male, 49 would be female

82 would be non-white; 18 white

67 would be non-Christian; 33 would be Christian

80 would live in substandard housing

67 would be unable to read

50 would be malnourished and 1 dying of starvation

33 would be without access to a safe water supply

39 would lack access to improved sanitation

24 would not have any electricity (And of the 76 that do
have electricity, most would only use it for light at night.)

7 people would have access to the Internet

1 would have a college education

1 would have HIV

2 would be near birth; 1 near death

5 would control 32% of the entire world’s wealth; all 5 would be US citizens

Well as for Beginner who usually have Windows background Ubuntu is targeted around MS Windows Users but It Entirely Depends upon the User Which Linux Distro S/he wants and probably on individual personal flavor for particular reason.

But as far the comparison is concerned you can find more about it Here :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux_distribution_comparison

At present there are more than One Hundred and Seventy Distros available all over the world, for Currrent Ratings and available distros you can visit the link below :

www.distrowatch.com

Well as far as popularity of distros is concerned Ubuntu is one of the fastest growing user community in the world.

Mine favorite is Debian due to its software distribution policy and Strong community base.

Suggestions and criticisms are welcome.

ABOUT ME :

i’m lonely, and i pretend to like being by myself
i’m insane, and they can’t tell the difference
i’m paranoid, but i am not afraid
i’m angry, and i cry tears of fire
i’m sad, and my heart cries in company
i’m different, but i am one with you
i am no-one, yet i am the eye of my storm
i am near, but when you want me i’m always gone
i am asleep, but my guilt lies awake and brooding
i am me, and i am tired of being tied
i am happiness, and i am free of you
